On the 27th of August 2020, The National Ministry Council of Uganda Assemblies of God met and re-elected Pastor Kephous Ndinywa as The National Overseer of Uganda Assemblies of God for another 2 years. Pastor Ransford Obeng, the Apostolic Advisor of Uganda Assemblies of God presided over the function. He attended from Kumasi, Ghana via ZOOM. Also in attendance was the Senior Overseer of Victory Family Centre – Uganda, Pastor Sandy Lam.
In the past 2 years, Pastor Kephous has been working on consolidating the affairs of the Assembly picking up the pieces from where Pastor Julius Ebwongu, the previous National Overseer left off.
The re-election of the National Overseer comes at a time when COVID-19 has ravaged the world. The church hasn’t been an exception on this. As of now – the time at which this is being noted; church gatherings are not taking place except in believer’s homes. Pastor Kephous is now training and preparing pastors on how to continue with the work of the ministry amidst the scourge of COVID-19
